The ‘Initiative EnergieEffizienz’ organised by the German Energy Agency  is looking for Energy-efficient Companies

Global energy demand is rising continuously. This challenges people and national economies to exploit new energy sources and use available energy even more efficiently. However, companies can also turn this necessity into an opportunity. For example, energy-efficient companies can react to market conditions early, and generate direct competitive advantages. With the Energy Efficiency Award, dena’s “Initiative EnergieEffizienz” (“Energy Efficiency Campaign”) raises public and trade awareness of particularly exemplary energy efficiency solutions.

The Energy Efficiency Award welcomes international entries and features prize money totalling € 30,000. The competition is open to companies from industry and manufacturing trade of all sizes and industries, provided they have successfully implemented a project to increase energy efficiency in their own company.

A jury of experts will evaluate entries based on specific criteria

Interested companies can submit their energy efficiency projects until the deadline 15 July 2015 . After the deadline for entries, a jury of experts from the energy industry evaluates the entries in a professional debate and nominates up to 15 corporate projects for the 2015 Energie Efficiency Award.

They will assess the competition entries according to the following criteria: energy saving, relevance to climate protection, cost-efficiency, degree of innovation, and compatibility.

Award ceremony
The winners will be announced at the 6th dena Energy Efficiency Congress on 16 and 17 November 2015 in Berlin. dena will present the awards to the three winning projects in the presence of an elite trade audience from the energy industry, as well as politicians and media representatives.
Submit your own energy efficiency project now
The first prize includes € 15,000, the second € 10,000 and the third € 5,000. The prize money for 2015 totalling € 30,000 is presented by dena’s “Initiative EnergieEffizienz” (“Energy Efficiency Campaign”) with the kind support of Premium Partners Bayer MaterialScience AG, Danfoss GmbH and DZ Bank AG.
